Confidential Trade Association

Located in the heart of a revitalized commercial district, the new headquarters of the Confidential Trade Association redefines the concept of a representative workspace through a contemporary lens. Designed by SSHAPE, the Washington, D.C, based architecture studio, the project transforms the former Greyhound terminal into an open, welcoming environment that encourages interaction and dialogue.

The design reinterprets the building's architectural heritage through a new concept of "showcase": conference rooms line the main street like a sequence of storefronts, while natural light filtering through the central atrium enhances the bright, inviting atmosphere.

A key challenge of the renovation was balancing contemporary functional requirements with respect for the building's historic character. To achieve this, the project features I Cementi collection, in the Ciottolo Greige finish, a surface that harmonizes with the building's heritage while introducing a refined, distinctly contemporary aesthetic.
