Cogeneration and renewable energy sources for energy independence
The new production facility, fully operational since the beginning of 2025, is a tangible expression of the Group’s environmental policy, with a strong focus on resource consumption, whether raw materials, consumables or energy sources. With this in mind, the facility will be completely self-sufficient in terms of electricity thanks to a photovoltaic system, currently in the process of
The Group's plant purifies and reuses 100% of waste water. In addition to saving water resources, Italgraniti has eliminated the risk of pollution of surface and underground waters.
Italgraniti Group recovers 100% of discarded, raw and cooked materials within the production process. By maximizing the recovery of waste, the need for new raw materials is reduced and natural resources such as clays and feldspars are saved.
The investments have almost eliminated undifferentiated industrial waste, to date it is only 1% of the total. The containment of waste has contributed to a virtuous production cycle capable of recycling most of the waste that is created during the production phase.
Regenerative afterburner
Post-combustore rigenerativo
During 2025, the existing regenerative thermal oxidizer was replaced with a new, more efficient system designed to also capture the fumes generated by the new production facility. The system operates in synergy with the flue gas treatment system using fabric filters, further helping to reduce the dispersion of odors. The regenerative thermal oxidizer is capable of capturing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated during the production process. VOCs in particular could cause unpleasant odors for people living and working near the facility. Inside the regenerative thermal oxidizer, which is equipped with three combustion chambers featuring high thermal efficiency, the
